Linen Supply of Ireland says 350 jobs have been saved at the company after a High Court decision cleared the way for it to emerge from examinership on March 3.
The company provides textile rental and laundry cleaning services to companies in the hospitality, healthcare and food industries as well as supplying hygiene equipment and dust control mats.
LSI has plants in Dublin, Cork and Spiddal as well as service and logistics offices in Limerick, Galway and Sligo.
Under examinership, two of LSI's Dublin plants closed with the loss of 200 jobs while a plant in Rahoon in Galway was also shut. LSI has been affected by a substantial decline in demand for our textile services from the hospitality and retail sectors, which were badly hit by the recession.
LSI said the High Court's approval of a scheme drawn up by examiner Kieran Wallace of KPMG would also clear the way for the company to distribute a €5.4m redundancy fund to more than 260 workers who were made redundant during the restructuring process.
