New figures show the mood among German investors dipped slightly in November. The ZEW research institute said its index of sentiment now stands at 51.1 points, down from 56 in October.
Analysts had expected the indicator to move down only slightly to 54. ZEW said the upward trend in economic expectations had been 'interrupted for the time being'.
It said the financial market experts surveyed signalled that 'they do not count on a strong boost for economic growth in the next year'.
