3V Voucher - A way to pay online

Irish online payments company 3V has announced it is expanding into Europe.

3V Transaction Services is launching its pay-as-you-go Visa voucher product in the Benelux region, with Luxembourg Banque Invik as banking partner. Banque Invik will work with a number of national distribution partners in different countries to make the 3V prepaid vouchers available.

The 3V voucher will be available in the Dutch market in 2010. 3V expects Dutch customers to spend €75m a year with the voucher.

The 3V voucher is an online payment method, which allows customers to shop online using prepaid vouchers that have a disposable 16-digit Visa number. The customer can use the number online just like a standard credit card. Customers buy vouchers from participating retail outlets, in the same way they purchase credit for their mobile phones.

3V was launched in 2005, and now has over 400,000 customers in Ireland and the UK. The company employs 23 staff at its Dublin headquarters.

The latest partnership agreements were signed at an Enterprise Ireland event in Luxembourg to promote Irish-Luxembourg business links.
