Online payments company PayPal says it plans to add 100 new jobs in customer service and operations at its European Centre of Excellence in Blanchardstown in Dublin.

PayPal, which is owned by online auction company eBay, already employs more than 950 people at the Blanchardstown site.
It says the new positions are for people fluent in English and a second European language.

The European Centre of Excellence was officially launched in March, when PayPal announced an investment of €15m, backed by IDA Ireland.

The Dublin centre manages all direct customer contact for PayPal's businesses across Europe. The company says it expects that more than half of its growth over the next three years will be from outside the US.
