Liquidator appointed to Louth chocolate firm

High Court - Appointed liquidator
High Court - Appointed liquidator

The High Court has appointed a liquidator to an award- winning chocolate firm in Co Louth after being told that examinership had not succeeded.

Danucci Ltd employs three people in Dundalk and its luxury chocolates were once stocked by Harrods and John Lewis in the UK.

However, the High Court was told this morning that possible investors in the company had 'fallen by the wayside' and the company now had no reasonable prospect of survival.

Mr Justice Peter Charlton appointed Niall Hughes as liquidator.
