Energy Minister Eamon Ryan has appointed Rose Hynes as chair of the Bord Gáis Éireann board. He has also appointed former Bank of Ireland Governor and current Aer Lingus director Laurence Crowley to the board of the semi-State company.
Ms Hynes has been on the Bord Gáis board since June 2006 and succeeds Ed O'Connell, who retired in June.
Ms Hynes is a solicitor and member of the Court of Bank of Ireland. She is also a director of Total Produce and Shannon Development.
