Figures from property website Myhome.ie show that asking prices for houses dropped by almost 15% in the year to June, with a bigger fall of 17.8% in Dublin.
The site said the rate of decline eased in the second quarter of the year. Asking prices nationally fell by 1.5% from March to June, compared with a 6.1% drop in the first quarter. In Dublin, the fall was 2.3%, against 7.4% in Q1. But prices in Roscommon rose 1.4%, while Donegal showed no change.
The average asking price nationally is €337,603, with the Dublin figure €409,448. The figures were compiled from properties advertised on the Myhome.ie website.
