Aer Lingus is to bring in a new charge for baggage on long-haul flights to and from the US next month.
While passengers in economy class will still be able to check in one bag free of charge, a fee of €40 or $50 will apply for each bag after this.
A similar excess weight fee will be charged for any bag above 23kg (50lbs).
The new policy will apply to bookings made from July 1 for travel from July 15.
