Eason 'sells British books chain'

Books group Eason is reported to have sold its British Bookshops chain, having taken full control of the company in 2005 in a deal reported at the time to be worth around €23m.

A report on the www.bookseller.com website said the chain had been bought by private equity firm Endless. Endless bought UK discount chain The Works after it went into administration last year.
