4Home Superstores will close the doors of its Portlaoise store on Sunday with the loss of 17 jobs.
In a statement, the firm said the move is part of a 'rationalisation program required to ensure the continued ongoing viability of the company'.
The DIY and garden furniture supplier said rent costs and a decline in sales of home improvement-related products had made the outlet unviable.
4Home Superstores has 11 other stores across the country.
