130 jobs are to go at the Flextronics plant in Cork city.
Employees voted to accept the voluntary redundancies as part of the company's worldwide restructuring plans. Some 150 people will remain at the company.
Last Friday, Flextronics sister company in Limerick announced it would close by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Clonmel based drinks company Bulmers has announced the loss of 23 jobs from its transport division. The job losses come on top of the 121 redundancies announced in February.
The announcement is part of Bulmers' overall restructuring programme, which involves significant changes that the company says are vital for the long-term viability of the facility in Clonmel.
Aidan Murphy, Managing Director of Bulmers, said that market performance and the economic conditions under which the business is operating have compelled the need to reduce both labour and production costs.
