Jobs are to be lost in Limerick with the announcement today that one of the Mid-West's best-known car sales businesses has gone into liquidation. Pat Keogh Limited, which specialised in BMW sales, has closed with the loss of 34 jobs.
A company spokesperson said today that the closure was as a result of very difficult trading conditions. He said that sales of new cars had fallen by up to 80% in the last six months.
The spokesperson said a liquidator would be appointed shortly. Pat Keogh Motors has been a family run business for the last 45 years, and a BMW dealer for the last 40 years in Limerick.
