Dublin-based biotechnology company Opsona Therapeutics has raised €18m to help fund its expansion plans.
Opsona is developing products aimed at treating inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and transplantation.
It was founded in 2004 with three of Trinity College immunologists. Opsona says the funds will help it to advance its programme of clinical trials.
The investors included Novartis Venture Fund, Fountain Healthcare Partners, Inventages Venture Capital and Seroba Kernel Life Sciences.
