A measure of employment in the construction industry has recorded a drop of more than 18% in the year to October.
The Central Statistics Office said its index of construction employment in October was down 18.1% on the same month last year.
The index - which covers firms with five or more workers - has been falling since April 2007, but October's fall was smaller than the 18.7% drop recorded in September.
