UPC Ireland, which includes cable companies NTL and Chorus in Ireland, has reported revenues of $275m for the nine months to the end of September, up 23% from $224m at the same time last year.
The company said its operating profits rose to $105m from $70m, an almost 50% increase.
UPC now has 94,000 subscribers to its broadband internet service. It launched its phone service in April of last year and now has 23,300 subscribers to that.
Commenting on the results, Robert Dunn, CEO of UPC Ireland, said: 'Overall, we have delivered a good set of results, demonstrating that our product mix is being well received in the Irish marketplace.
'In particular, we are encouraged by the upward trends of our telephone and high speed broadband services and attribute this success to the excellent value these products represent in today’s market.'
The group's US parent, Liberty Global, said its revenues grew by 22% to nearly $8 billion by the end of the third quarter, up from $6.5 billion at the same point last year. The company had a net loss of $309m by the end of September, compared with a $40m surplus at the same juncture in 2007.
