The owners of an €80 million hotel and resort in East Cork have said they expect some job losses among staff at the hotel after the management contract with the company which operates the resort was ended.
The Castlemartyr Hotel and Resort has operated under the Capella brand since it opened in August 2007. It employs just over 100 people.
Elsewhere, Async Technologies and Avvio, who operate in Clare and Limerick respectively, have announced they will create 40 high-skilled jobs in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland.
Tyre management firm Async is to invest €2.4 million and create 11 jobs in its R&D and international sales divisions.
Avvio, which provides reservations software and online marketing for the hospitality industry, will create 30 new jobs over the next two years.
