Clinical research group Icon has reported a 35% increase in net revenues for the third quarter ending September 30, 2008. Revenues rose to $225.5m from $166.9m the same time last year.
The group said that income from operations rose to $27.1m from $18.7m.
For the nine months to the end of September, net revenues jumped by 43.4% to $645.2m while year to date income from operations rose to $73m from $49.5m the same time the previous year.
Chairman John Climax said that year to date new business bookings, at over $1 billion, have also surpassed those of the full year of 2007.
'We are confident in the outlook for the remainder of 2008 and view 2009 with optimism,' he added.
