200 jobs are to be added to the Cook Ireland company in Limerick over the next five years as a result of a €25m investment.
The company, which currently employs 480 people, is expanding its medical devices manufacturing and services facility, based at Plassey Industrial Park in Castletroy.
The investment will also establish the Limerick plant as the sole global manufacturing site for Cook's new drug eluting stent. The investment is being supported by IDA Ireland.
Bill Doherty, vice president of Cook's European business said the Limerick facility's successful track record in implementing and delivering a variety of projects over the past 12 years was a significant factor in Cook's decision to undertake this strategic investment in the city.
