Building firm in court over pensions

A bench warrant was issued by Dublin District Court today in the case of the director of a company which failed to make payments of over €186,000 into a pension fund for almost 200 workers.

The Irish Pension Board brought the proceedings against Colm McNulty and Limestone Construction. It is claimed they failed to pay contributions to the fund over a 14-month period between 2006 and 2007.

Today's proceedings related to the funds paid by the workers themselves which amounted to €80,000.

Mr McNulty did not appear appear before Dublin District Court today and a barrister for the Pensions Board told the court that he had failed to respond to previous attempts to contact him at the company address.
