Exploration company Glencar Mining has reported a pre-tax loss of just over $300,000 for the first half of 2008, broadly in line with the same period last year.
Glencar is continuing to drill at its Komana gold prospect in Mali. It says it will receive an estimate of gold reserves before the end of September.
Meanwhile, Dublin-listed exploration company Aminex has announced a gas discovery at its Alta Loma licence in Texas in the US. Aminex has a 37.5% in the project.
