Scandinavian airline SAS says it flew into loss during the second quarter owing to the economic slowdown and high fuel prices. It also said it would slash another 500 jobs and seven planes from its fleet.
The company recorded a loss of SEK411m (€43.9m) in the April-June period, down sharply from a SEK607m profit 12 months earlier. But sales rose 8.7%.
