Paul Schütz has been announced as Aer Arann's next chief executive.
Mr Schütz will take over from Garry Cullen, who is retiring, on 1 January 2009.
Mr Schütz joined Aer Arann in 2006 as chief financial officer and company secretary. He has more than 18 years experience in the airline industry, including senior finance and general management roles.
He previously worked at Ryanair, British Airways, Virgin Express, BWIA West Indies Airways and Eirjet.
