The boards of DCC and two of its subsidiaries have said they will not appeal the appointment of Bill Shipsey SC to investigate their shareholdings in Fyffes.
The High Court appointed Mr Shipsey on July 29 to investigate DCC, S&L Investments and Lotus Green under Section 8 of the Irish Companies Act 1990.
He was assigned to investigate the three companies' interest in Fyffes specifically between 1995 and 2000.
His investigation will determine whether transactions the companies made breached the Irish Companies Act.
DCC said its focus will be to facilitate a timely conclusion of the inspection, given the very specific issues to be examined by the Inspector.
