The US banking company, Citi, is to create up to 150 new jobs in Belfast, bringing its workforce in Northern Ireland up to 850.
The company is to lease office space in the Titanic Quarter, where the Dublin-based company, Harcourt Developments, is the major developer.
Citi is part of the financial services giant, Citigroup, one of the largest companies in the world. It has a presence on both sides of the border. The facility in Dublin's IFSC has been in place for ten years. In 2004 it set up a base in Belfast.
Like many US banks, Citi has felt the impact of the sub-prime lending problem in recent months. Today's announcement was welcomed by the North's Economy Minister Arlene Foster.
