The threat of industrial action at Dublin Airport has been lifted after unions and management agreed to engage in talks over the coming months to resolve a row over pensions.
The first day of planned action had been scheduled for Wednesday. Unions had threatened to take action including an overtime ban and work to rule over a number of days in July.
But the Labour Relations Commission, which met both sides today, has set out a framework for three months of talks on the pensions issue. The LRC also said management and unions had agreed to talks about other issues, which would be completed within six months.
