Around 50 people are to be made redundant at technology group Creative Labs in Blanchardstown, Dublin.
The company makes sound systems and electronic audio equipment for computers.
Creative Labs has received support from IDA Ireland in the past. The group's corporate headquarters is in Singapore. It has regional headquarters in California and Dublin.
In 2006 the company restructured its Irish business with the loss of 230 jobs, a move which included the outsourcing of some Dublin work to other lower-cost countries.
