Exploration company Ormonde Mining says a drilling programme has shown a 'substantial' amount of tungsten at its Barruecopardo project in Salamanca in Spain.
The company said new drilling has indicated that a previously mined area contains high grades of the metal.
Ormonde added that this had the potential to add significantly to its previous estimates of reserves in the area.
'We continue to have high expectations that Ormonde will become a significant European tungsten producer,' said managing director Kerr Anderson.
