Ryanair is to increase its charges for baggage and checking in for the second time this year.
From May 5, the charge for checking in baggage rises from €9 per bag to €10, having gone up from €6 in January. The airport check-in fee goes up from €4 to €5. It went up from €3 in January.
Ryanair had warned earlier this year that it would continue to increase these charges in order to encourage more passengers to check in online and travel with just carry-on luggage.
This will enable it to cut the number of airport check-in desks it uses and the number of handling staff it employs.
