Activity slowed in both the manufacturing and services sectors in the euro zone in March, a survey shows today.
The euro zone's purchasing managers' index (PMI), compiled by NTC Research, slid to 51.9 points, compared to 52.8 points in February, according to a first 'flash' estimate.
A figure above the 50-point level indicates a growth in activity, while any below it signifies a contraction.
Meanwhile, the services survey fell to 51.7 points in March from 52.3 in February, while manufacturing eased to 52 points from 52.3 the previous month.
