German airline Lufthansa has recorded strong increases in 2007 results, with provisional figures showing a record year for the group.
Operating profit leapt by 63% to €1.38 billion, slightly exceeding the airline's target.
Net profit more than doubled to €1.6 billion, helped by once-off items including the sale of its stake in the tourism group Thomas Cook last year.
Lufthansa's sales increased by 13%. The airline is to present final detailed figures on March 12.
