150 new jobs are promised for Cork over the next three years with the announcement that financial services company CITCO Fund Services is to expand its operation in the city.
Supported by IDA Ireland, the additional jobs are being created as part of the company's expansion of its hedge fund administration operation in Cork city.
The company already employs 145 people in Cork, and over 850 people in Dublin, since setting up here ten years ago.
The company is part of the CITCO group, which has its headquarters in the Cayman Islands and is the largest global service provider to the international hedge funds industry, administering more than 2,000 funds with net assets of over $650 billion.
Announcing the expansion, the Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment, Micheal Martin, said Citco's expansion in Cork would further enhance the rapidly developing international financial services cluster in Munster.
