US aerospace giant Boeing has said its 2007 net profit soared by 84% compared with 2006 to a record $4.07 billion. This was despite flat sales in the fourth quarter.
Profits were boosted by higher commercial aircraft deliveries, strong growth in military earnings and productivity gains, the company said.
Boeing's fourth-quarter net profit was just over $1 billion, ahead of analysts' expectations.
