Origin Enterprises has bought Massstock Group for £26.3m sterling. Another £10m will be paid if certain profit targets are reached.
Massstock, which has operations in the UK and Poland, provides soil management services to farm enterprises. It was founded by two leading Irish entrepreneurs Paddy and Alistair McGuckian in the 1970s.
Origin is a spin-off company from IAWS.
In a separate announcement, Origin also said that it has started exploratory talks with Norway's Austevoll Seafood with a view to combining their respective fishmeal and fish oil operations within Europe
