Ryanair will start 20 new routes from Birmingham in the UK, opening its 25th European base in the city, it said today.
In a $140m investment, two Boeing 737-800 aircraft will serve routes to Denmark, France, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, and Sweden.
'This will be followed by a further eight Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which will deliver 5 million passengers annually, a visitor spend of £400m a year and sustain 5,000 jobs in the West Midlands,' Ryanair said in a statement.
