Pharmaceutical group Wyeth Ireland has announced an investment worth €5m for its new corporate headquarters in Ballycoolin, Dublin.
The investment will result in the creation of 24 new jobs and four additional departments - Medical, Regulatory, Corporate Affairs and Operations and Quality - at Ballycoolin. The offices were officially opened today.
Wyeth says the creation of the new departments equips the company to fast-track the launch of many new and innovative products in its pipeline and bring them to market sooner.
Wyeth employs over 3,000 people at five locations in Ireland, including the €1.8 billion Biotech campus at Grange Castle in West Dublin, Europe's largest biotech facility. It also has facilities in Newbridge in Co Kildare, Askeaton in Co Limerick and in Sligo.
