Aer Arann has said a new franchise deal will add four new routes to its network.

The airline says the new services - to Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Malaga, and Faro - will come into effect on May 1 from Galway Airport and Waterford Airport.

They are the result of a franchise deal between Aer Arann and Nex Aviation. Nex's 100-seater BAE 146-200 jet will operate alongside Aer Arann's current fleet. The services will be sold as part of the Aer Arann network.

Flights will operate daily from both airports to alternate destinations.
