Aer Rianta International has secured a seven year retail contract with JSC Terminal, the authority responsible for developing the new terminal 3 at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport.
The contract, one of the largest ever secured by Aer Rianta, is expected to generate gross sales of over €1 billion over its seven year term. ARI is a subsidiary of the Dublin Airport Authority.
ARI will operate 2,200 square metres of retailing space in the duty free area of terminal three where it has the rights to sell duty free products in eight separate stores. It also signed a deal to operate two duty-paid stores at the terminal's domestic gates.
ARI is the largest airport retailer in Russia and has a presence in the country's four main airports. It also has minority shareholdings in Dusseldorf airport in Germany and in Paphos and Larnaca airports in Cyprus.
Over 12 million passengers are expected to use the terminal every year.
