Supermarket chain Aldi plans to develop a distribution centre and office facility in Mitchelstown, Co Cork, which it says will create 160 new jobs.
Aldi says the centre will support growth of its Irish business, particularly in the Munster region.
The company, which has operated in Ireland since 1999, currently has 52 stores. It is headquartered at Naas, Co Kildare, where it has its current distribution centre.
The new facility will mainly service Aldi's stores in Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.
