Ulster Bank is to return €950,000 to account holders it incorrectly charged on student current accounts.
The bank said it had wrongly applied fees and interest to accounts that were registered as student accounts. It said it discovered the error during an internal review.
The average refund will be €88. The bank has apologised to the customers affected.
In August, Ulster Bank admitted to having incorrectly charged customers in relation to payment protection policies. It refunded €4.2 million to 25,000 of its customers.
