NTR has announced that waste management company Greenstar UK has completed the purchase of Verdant.
Kent-based Verdant is one of the largest independent municipal services providers to UK local authorities, and generates revenue of approximately €65m.
Greenstar has also acquired M & B Haulage and Waste Paper Company and Network Waste Solutions in recent months.
These buys are expected to give Greenstar an annualised revenue of over €172m.
Speaking about the acquisitions, Jim Barry, chief executive of NTR said: 'The economics of recycling are becoming increasingly attractive and with new technologies, there are increasing opportunities to divert materials from disposal to marketable recycled products.'
