Asking prices for residential properties fell by 0.7% in the three months to the end of September, according to residential property website, MyHome.ie.

The drop in prices was more pronounced in Dublin, where asking prices were down 1.7%, compared with 0.3% outside Dublin.

Further evidence of the slowing housing market is contained in a report from another website, Daft.ie. It says one out of every five residential properties listed on the site last January is still up for sale nine months later.
