JOBS BOOST FOR WATERFORD, DUBLIN & LOUTH - 300 new jobs have been announced this morning. Postbank will be creating 50 jobs with the opening of a new head office in Dublin today.
Elsewhere, Waterford-based Rigney Dolphin, one of the country's biggest providers of call centre services to companies looking to outsource customer support, is to create 250 new jobs in Waterford, Dublin and Louth.
The chairman and founder of Rigney Dolphin, Frank Dolphin, says it is offering an Irish solution to out-sourcing needs.
He also says that the Government must now turn its focus to jobs retention.

BLEAK OUTLOOK FOR CONSTRUCTION - Ulster Bank’s purchasing manager’s index has given its bleakest assessment yet for the building industry.
Ulster Bank's chief economist Pat McArdle says that a further decline was recorded in September. He said that there has been a steady decline in the level of unemployment in the sector since the middle of the year.
However, he adds that many builders expect business to pick up again in a year’s time.

BCI TO MAKE COMMUNICORP DECISION- The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland is expected to decide later today whether Denis O'Brien's company Communicorp will be allowed purchase three radio stations.
Today FM, FM104 and Highland Radio had been offered for sale by British Group Emap. Mr O'Brien's company has proposed to buy the stations for €200m but the deal has significant obstacles.
David Murphy, Business Correspondent, says the Commission will consider Mr O’Brien’s ownership of two other major Dublin radio stations when they are weighing their decision.
He also says that there different rules apply to the radio and newspaper industries.
