Ecclesiastical Insurance, which specialises in insuring charities, churches and the care sector, is planning a €1.6m investment in Ireland.
The company, which employs 20 people in its offices in Dublin, today launched new Irish products aimed at the growing care home market and the charity sector.
'Care homes and voluntary organisations have special risks which are not covered by general commercial insurance policies,' said its managing director for Ireland, Ronan Foley.
As well as Ireland and the UK, Ecclesiastical operates in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
