Over 2.4m passengers passed through Dublin Airport in August, according to the Dublin Airport Authority.
That represents a 9%, or an average of 6,500 passengers a day, increase over the same month last year.
Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe rose by 18%, with over 1.3m passengers travelling last month.
UK traffic rose marginally, with over 810,000 passengers travelling this route sector.
More than 85,000 passengers travelled on domestic routes, a 6% increase, over while traffic to and from North America increased by 5% to 174,000.
More than 15.7m passengers travelled through the airport in the first eight months of the year, up 10% on the same period in 2006.
That means over 1.4m additional passengers have been facilitated at the airport since January.
