Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary was paid a total of €992,000 in the year to the end of March, according to the company's annual report.
This was up almost 23% on the previous year, though his basic salary rose by only 2.7% to €565,000. Mr O'Leary was also paid a bonus of €365,000, up from €200,000 the previous year.
The report also shows that Ryanair employs just under 4,000 people, up almost 1,000 in the year.
