Zinc exploration company Connemara Mining has raised £1m from its flotation on London's AIM market this morning.
The company has 22 zinc and one gold exploration licences, many of which are adjacent to the zinc find at Pallas Green in Limerick.
It is involved in a joint venture with Canada's Teck Cominco to explore 15 of these licences.
'We are in the very early stages, but working together with Teck Cominco, we should have first drilling results by the end of this year,' said chairman John Teeling.
