Bank of Ireland has confirmed that it is looking for a new head office in 'a prime city centre location'.
The bank said it had asked property agent CBRE to tell the market that it would be seeking expressions of interest in July for the head office building, as well as a number of buildings in Dublin for 'support functions'.
BoI said it would then assess the price and options available, and had not made any decisions on precise locations yet.
The bank had already agreed to sell its Baggot Street headquarters for more than €200m last year. It is leasing the building while it looks for a new headquarters.
CBRE has also announced the sale and leaseback of 30 Bank of Ireland sites the Layden Group for €94m. The sites included 29 branches and one call centre, spread throughout the country.
