The chief executive of Shannon Development, Kevin Thompstone, is to step down in the summer of 2008.
A statement from the agency said Mr Thompstone would continue for another year to 'ensure continued focus on the delivery of the company's regional development mandate' while the search for a new chief executive gets underway.
Mr Thompstone joined Shannon Development in 1985 and was appointed CEO in 2001.
