The Financial Regulator has warned that a firm called Harley Richard Financial Consultants is claiming to be authorised by the watchdog as an advisor and mortgage intermediary.
The regulator says the company is not authorised under the relevant legislation and holds 'no authorisation whatsoever' from the Financial Regulator.
'Furthermore, although the firm claims to be based in the UK, it does not hold any authorisation from the FSA,' the regulator added. The watchdog said it had no evidence that the firm had attempted to target Irish consumers.
Consumers wishing to confirm the authorisation status of firms may do so by calling the Financial Regulator 1890-200-469.
