Over 1.8 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport last month, a 9% increase over April 2006.
According to the Dublin Airport Authority, passenger traffic to/from continental Europe rose by 19% to 930,000 and UK traffic was static at around 735,000 passengers.
Over 68,000 passengers travelled on domestic routes to/from Dublin Airport, a 7% increase, while passengers to/from North America rose 1%.
Other international passenger traffic to the Middle-East (Dubai and Bahrain), northern Africa (Sharm El Sheik) and South Africa(Capetown) rose by 26% to over 16,000 passengers.
